Creation Residency BCN>ALG>TNS. 2017

JISER presents a new edition of the Residences of Creation BCN> ALG> TNS 2017.

(Barcelona 25.09.2017) The jury, composed by Hilde Teerlinck and Han Nefkens (Foundation Han Nefkens), Eva Soria Puig (Ramon Llull Institute), Lara Almarcegui, Walid Aidoud, Kibris and Xavier De Luca (JISER), selected the nominations of Manel Romdhani (TNS) , Anna López Luna (BCN) and Mounir Gouri (ALG) to begin residence in Algiers on October 25, 2017.

The artists will conduct a joint research and experimentation of 2 months in the city of Alger to develop a personal artistic project in a teamwork environment.

These residences constitute a tool that is put at the service of artists and their productions. From this perspective, JISER reaffirms its willingness to support the young creation that takes place in the artistic and cultural contexts of these cities.

This project has the important support of Han Nefkens Foundation and the Institut Ramon Llull.

Since March 22, 2017, three visual artists have realized the Creation Residence BCN>ALG>TNS in Tunisia to develop a personal artistic project. The artists are Bárbara Sánchez Barroso (Barcelona), Houssem Mokeddem (Algiers) and Slim Gomri (Tunisia). The exhibition of the results was inaugurated on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 12h, at the BAC Art Center in Tunis.

This project was organized by JISER in collaboration with the BAC Art Center of Tunisia and the support of the Han Nefkens Foundation and the Ramon Llull Institute. The project is part of the Kibrit platform, which is supported by SouthMed CV, funded by the European Union (MedCulture Program) and NACMM with the support of the Anna Lindh Foundation.
